If the existing finish is worn but the wood itself isn't gouged, deeply scratched, or discolored, a recoat (rejuvenation) is usually enough — and it's faster and less expensive than a full refinish. If you have bare-wood spots, deep scratches, water staining, or want to change color, a full sand-and-refinish is the right call.
Most refinishes take 3–5 working days from sand to final coat, plus a short cure window before furniture moves back. Recoats are typically 1–2 days. We'll give you exact timing in your quote.
Nothing is 100% dust-free, but a properly run HEPA-vacuum system removes the vast majority of airborne dust. It's a dramatic improvement over traditional sanding and keeps fine dust out of your HVAC and belongings.
Often yes. We blend in replacement boards by species, grade, and stain, then sand and finish the area so the repair disappears into the surrounding floor.
